2017 AAA SCM Champs - Day 4 Summary

The 2017 Swim BC AAA SCM Championships was brought to a close this weekend with some really fast, tough racing across the board.

Two provincial records were broken on Sunday. The first came from the Girls 14/15 50m Freestyle, where Jessica Luo (UVPCS) broke a 12 year old provincial record in the 13-14 Girls 50m Freestyle. Camryn Stannard (RAC) brokeOlympian Noemie Thomas’s other 11-12 provincial record in the 100m Butterfly in a speedy 1:04.42.

At the end of a close race for the overall team score title, ISC came out on top, followed closely by UVPCS and HYACK. Head Coach, Ben Keast had some comments about his team’s solid effort: “Throughout the weekend our swimmers supported one another, showed poise, managed their energy, and rose to the occasion.  It was truly a championship "team" effort by the athletes!

"Heats were about the process and finals were about having fun and moving up!  The atmosphere at night was fantastic.”
