Western Canadian Championships Statistics

I have tabulated the scoring statistics from the recent Western Canadian Championships. BC moved forward in the scoring this year with better scoring in the 15&U/16&U category as well as better depth in the open section of the meet. This can be attributed to this group of swimmers being a year older. Last year we were often at the bottom of the finals, this year those same athletes were on the podium. I have indicated on the daily scoring totals were we out-scored Alberta. This information is only relative to this competition. It is not a comparative document of the current over-all state of swimming in the two provinces at this level as there were swimmers missing and at different stages of preparation. Alberta for example, used this meet as selection for their Western Canada Games team.
