How to Make Payments to SwimBC QUICKLY!
The registration system has been designed to ensure that only properly registered athletes and coaches are taking part in Swimming Canada and Swim BC activities, such as swim meets, coaching courses, and other events.
The final step in that registration process is Swim BC receiving payment. In most instances, a club will simply mail a cheque to Swim BC for certain invoices and there are no significant issues.
However, on occasion (an deadline for a coaching course, or a swimmer upgrading to a new registration category just ahead of an entry deadline, for example), payments need to be as close to instantaneous as possible.
Swim BC is pleased to offer two options for this situation.
- Interac Email Money Transfer. Please access your online banking to send money to Swim BC. Please send the email money transfer to Swim BC at email@example.com. You will be asked to provide a security question. Please send a second email to firstname.lastname@example.org with the answer to the question so that we can accept your payment. Participating financial institutions include: BMO Bank of Montreal, CIBC, RBC Royal Bank, Scotiabank and TD Canada Trust.
- Credit card payments directly through the Swim BC office. Simply call the Swim BC Office Manager (604-898-9100) at the Swim BC office, and she can accept your credit card number over the phone.
For club payments, please note that Shelagh is the only Swim BC staff member who can accept payments in this manner, as this means of accepting payment is directly tied to the accounting software used by Swim BC.
