Canadian Sport Institute in Victoria and the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES) will be presenting Anti-Doping Basics, an in-person and online education session that provides a comprehensive introduction to the world of anti-doping, on Monday, January 9, 2017.
Catherine Chapell, Doping Control Officer with CCES will take athletes/coaches through the basics of the Canadian Anti-Doping Program, demystify urine and blood sample collection procedures, explain the World Anti-Doping Agency’s Prohibited List, and address current concerns relating to recreational drugs and supplements.
The session affords athletes the opportunity to ask questions to an anti-doping expert to better understand the process.
Athletes and coaches are welcome to attend in person, but for those outside Victoria, they can also take part via the live, online option.
Regardless, anyone interested is to register online.
