FINA World Short Course Swimming Championships - Dubai, UAE

The 10th World Short Course Swimming Championships ran from Wednesday, December 15, through to Sunday, December 19, 2010, in Dubai, UAE - one of the city-states (emirates) that comprise the United Arab Emirates.

A relatively small team represented Canada at the event, with four of them being from BC.

Annamay Pierse (UBCD), Martha McCabe (UBCD), Alexandra Gabor (WGB), and Jake Tapp (LOSC) wore the maple leaf in the pool, while on the deck, Joseph Nagy (NSC-Vancouver) and Tom Rushton (UBCD) represented as members of the four-person coaching staff.

The top result from the Canadian squad was Martha McCabe's 5th-place finish in 200 Breast, with her time of 2:20.61; Jake Tapp also made a couple of finals, his best result being seventh in 100 IM with his time of 52.97 which established a new Canadian record.
