Thomas Breaks Canadian Record at Worlds

Noemie Thomas (UBCD) continued her hot streak at the 2012 World Short Course Championships in Istanbul, TUR, on Saturday, as she put up a great prelims swim in the women's 100 Fly to get seeded second in the semi-final.

She followed that swim up with an even better performance in the semi-final, posting a time of 56.64, which has her second heading into Sunday's final, which should run at approx. 9:30am PST.  That 56.64 also broke Audrey Lacroix's existing National record in the event, which had been set back in 2009 when all manner of "supersuit" was allowed.

Naturally, with Noemie still being 16, that performance also obliterated the the National 15-17 Age Group record in that event.
