The final day of competition at the Summer Nationals in Edmonton saw Jake Tapp LOSC, showing his versatility garnering a third gold medal in the men’s 200 IM. Sherry Liu Hyack, added to her medal collection taking gold in the women’s 800 Freestyle.
Kelly Aspinall scored his second individual medal, sprinting to second spot in the men’s 50 Freestyle. Kierra Smith LLSC, and Andrew Poznikoff SFA, stroked to the silver positions in their respective 200 Breaststrokes. Eric Hedlin Island, was the silver medalist in the men’s 1500 Freestyle with team-mate Will Brothers behind him for the bronze.
In the 400 Medley relays the VAND women, Lauren Lavigna, Hanna Pierse, Noemie Thomas and Brittney Harley claimed silver. The VAND men followed suit in the next event; Kelly Aspinall, Sergey Holson, Coleman Allan and Duncan Furrer with the medal winning performance.
Rookie of the meet female was Dylana Milobar of Kamloops Classics. Noemie Thomas VAND, took the female aggregate scoring title. The Vancouver Dolphins won the female, male and overall team titles.
