As we work to finalize our complete Registration Information Package for next season, we've received numerous requests for a summary of changes for the 2013-2014 season.
Provided below, then, is a summary of the registration fees for next season. As in previous years, ages for competitive categories will be determined as of December 31, 2013.
Fees have increased this year for two reasons: First of all, Swimming Canada has increased registration fees for competitive categories by $3/swimmer, and for non-competitive categories by $1/swimmer.
In addition to that, after setting aside annual membership fee increases as established by SwimBC policy for the past two seasons, those will be applied for the 2013-2014 season. This means that SwimBC's portion of registration fees will increase by $2/swimmer in competitive categories and $1/swimmer in non-competitive categories.
The combined SwimBC/SNC registration fees for next year, then, are as follows:
I Can Swim (any age): $24.00 (available only to those programs operating and partnered with I Can Swim)
Non-Competitive (any age): $36.00
Competitive Swimmers (age as of December 31, 2013):
University-Varsity: $49.00 (valid only Sept. 1 to March 31)
Please see the registration package on this page for a full explanation of the various categories.
