MacLean On a Roll at Summer Nationals

Heather MacLean (UBCD) scored her second win of the 2013 Summer Nationals being held at Pointe Claire, QC, this week in the women’s 100 Free on Thursday night.  This came a day after her win in the women’s 200 Free.  She added to her gold-medal haul on Friday night, winning the women’s 100 Fly as well.

Luke Reilly (UBCD) also added to BC’s gold-medal tally, taking the men’s 400IM with David Dmitrov (LLSC) taking the bronze, while Stefan Milosevic (HYACK) followed up his record-breaking 200 Free win on Wednesday with a silver in the men’s 100 Free on Thursday.  

Keegan Zanatta (IS) posted a win in the men’s 400 Free on Friday night, while his teammate, Jeremy Bagshaw took the bronze.

Rohan Jacobs (LLSC) added to his bronze in the men’s 50 Fly with a silver in the 100 Fly, while  Kierra Smith and  Andrew Poznikoff (SFA) each picked up medals in Breastroke events, Smith in the 100 and Poznikoff in the 50.

Stefanie Schmidt (IS) and Erin Stamp (UBCD) added to the BC medal haul with bronzes in the women’s 200 Back and 100 Breast, respectively.

Summer Nationals wraps up on Saturday evening in Pointe Claire, after which many of those swimmers will head across Montreal for the start of Age Group Championships in at Parc Jean Drapeau on Wednesday.
