April 2015 NCCP Update - Upcoming Courses

This update was emailed to all registered coaches on April 26, 2015.

This should cover any coaching education questions you may have and a list of upcoming courses. 

Course Dates - please note 301 course and pre-requisites

Pre- course workbook must be completed in order to register.

1 - 101 Course May 8-10 - Victoria (deadline April 30)

2 - 101 Course May 8-10 - Fort St John (deadline April 30)

3 - 101 Course May 9-10 - Chilliwack (deadline April 30)

4 - 101 Course July 8-10 (new dates) – Terrace 

5 - 201- 301 Multi-Sport Modules - Pre-requisites for 201-301 May 23-29 - Victoria (Registration Information)

6 - 301 Course Aug 31-Sept 4 - Victoria (email Chad if interested so we can determine numbers to see if it will run). 

7 * Community Coach Course Sept 19 - Vancouver TBA
8 * Community Coach Course Sept 20 - Vancouver TBA
This is the new course for coaches coaching NON- COMPETITIVE swimmers
(1-day, 8hr. course; cost = $100)

10 101 Course Sept 25-27 - Whistler within the BC Coaches conference 

11 201 Course Sept 25-27 - Whistler within the BC Coaches conference

12 Making Ethical Decisions Training Sept 27 Whistler - Within Conference 

*NEW COMMUNITY COACH COURSE – 8hrs – 1 day - $100 
This is for coaches who are coaching non-competitive swimmers. We have run a few pilot courses and we are confident this will fill a big gap that is needed for coaching. There are no pre-requisites, and no post work to do. Coaches will not be “Certified” but rather be “In Training”. 

The Swimming 101 course will now be focused towards - Coaching Young Competitive Swimmers

201 Pre-requisites - Must be completed prior to registering for 201
