Day 4 Finals - 2016 Canadian Age Group Championships

The temperature outside the Talisman Centre in Calgary dropped from 27C to 13C during the fourth night of finals at the 2016 Canadian Age Group Swimming Championships, but the swimming inside the building stayed just as electric as the thunderstorm that rolled through town.

SwimBC athletes once again had a stellar night, particularly in the opening event of the night - 100 Backstroke. In that event, gold medals were won by Stephanie Lee (PSW), Amanda McCallum (RAPID), Tyler Wall (KISU), and Tim Zeng (CHENA), while other medalists included Acacia Benn (KISU) and Tayden De Pol (NRST) taking a silver, and Angelica Bath (CHENA), Catherine Grimme (PSW), Elijah Keever (KISU), and Skyeler Kerr (CONNU) bringing home a bronze.

Bailey Herbert (LOSC) continued her strong meet, taking another gold medal - this one in 200 Breast, as did Faith Knelson (LCSC), Renae Ledoux (PSW). and Michael Schmidt (UVPCS).
In 200 Free, Stephanie Lee added to her impressive meet with another gold medal, also helping anchor her team to silver in the 4x100 Free Relay; not to be outdone, Jessica Luo (UVPCS) also won her age group’s 200 Free, and anchored her team to the gold medal in that same relay race.
