 Swim BC is the provincial governing body for competitive swimming in BC, is linked to Swimming Canada and is responsible for the conduct of competition; athlete, coach and officials development; club services and sport governance.  Our programs are directed at a membership of over 12,000 ranging from active start swimmers to Olympians and masters, coaches in all stages of career development and over 100 clubs requiring a variety of volunteer and operational support services.


The Club Services Coordinator has the overall responsibility of providing support to the membership of Swim BC, with a specific emphasis on member registration, club affiliation and communications.  Significant duties include acting as the Registrar of the organization; communicating and assisting with the interpretation of the associations policies; supporting membership inquiries; and coordinating communications and website content.

  • MS Office, Adobe Pro, IT aptitude with on-line applications, web-site management and social media platforms;

  • Self-starter, critical thinker, ability to develop personal objectives and work without supervision;

  • Knowledge of the local, provincial or national sport environment;

  • Member services acumen, ability to liaise and respond to multiple member inquiries and assist in policy, rule and regulatory understanding.

 Specific roles include but are not limited to:

  • General membership inquiries

  • Member registration, affiliation and reporting

  • Insurance inquiries / travel insurance

  • Incident reports and accident claims

  • Club education and development; Club Manual maintenance

  • Club registration (minimum standards accountability; policy compliance)

  • Registration interpretation, club and member support

  • Swim BC Screening program management (records check)

  • General membership communications including web-site updates and newsletters

  • Administrative lead for the annual BC Swimming Congress.

  • Assists the Executive Director in developing and managing organizational communication needs.


  • Preference is for a post-secondary degree in Sport Administration, or equivalent degree.

  • Or, related work experience of 2 - 4 years in a sport administration or member services role

  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated team and collaboration talents

  • Satisfactory Criminal Records Check.

 Expected Hours:

  • The position is a full-time position, 37.5 hours per week
