Congratulations to Hyack Swim Club of New Westminster on winning Swim BC’s 2019 Winter Age Group Championships. After host Canadian Dolphins took the team lead on day one, Hyack stormed to the lead on the second day and solidified it with another strong team performance on the final day of the meet.
Hyack’s overall team score was 1312 points, to second place Vancouver Pacific Swim Club with 1048.5. They narrowly edged out host CDSC, who finished third with 1035 points, having memory at a Swim BC Championship meet.
Three new individual Swim BC records were set at this meet, with Justin Jung (HYACK) setting new standards in 11&12 boys 200IM and 400IM, while Jordan Vertue (PGB) established a new mark in 11&12 girls 200Back.
