Welcoming Our Safe Sport Committee, Athlete Representative

Swim BC is pleased to announce the appointment of Sidney Boone to the Safe Sport Committee as Athlete Representative. In this role, Sidney will serve as the voice of athletes, contributing valuable lived experience and perspective.

Sidney brings over a decade of experience within the BC swimming community, having trained with Pacific Coast Swimming, Island Swimming, and currently with the University of Victoria. Her involvement across multiple levels of the sport has provided her with a strong understanding of the swimming community in British Columbia. She has also participated in several Swim BC initiatives, including Prospect Camps.

Sidney is passionate about giving back to the sport and community that has shaped her athletic journey. Currently pursuing studies in Recreation and Health Education, she hopes to become a swim coach within the Swim BC system and is committed to supporting the growth of female leadership in high-performance coaching across the province.
