Location: Albert Dyck Park – Abbotsford, BC 

Start: TBC (Registration 10:30 am / Start 12:00 noon)  All Competitions will be finished by 3:00 pm

Course Specs: 

  • Age 11-12 1.0km 
  • Age 13-14* 2.0km  
  • Age 15 & Over 5.0km
  • Masters swimmers 3.0km 

*Note: 14-year-old swimmers have the option of entering the 15&O 5km race. 

Recommended Entry Standards:

Reminder about Water Temperature and Wetsuits Rule: 

  1. Under 16 degrees – No Swim 
  2. 16.0 to 17.9 degrees – Wetsuits Mandatory – wetsuits to cover torso, shoulders and down to knees at minimum.  
  3. 18.0 to 19.9 degrees – Wetsuits are Optional – Shorties and Farmer Johns are allowed in addition to full wetsuits. 
  4. 20.0 degrees and above – No wetsuits permitted.

Bell Canadian Swimming Trials 2023

The six-day Trials run through Sunday at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre. A total of 623 athletes from 148 clubs across the country will be in action competing for spots on this summer’s national teams. Teams will be selected for:

  • World Aquatics Championships July 14-30 in Fukuoka, Japan
  • World Para Swimming Championships July 31-Aug. 6 in Manchester, England
  • World Junior Swimming Championships Sept. 4-9 in Netanya, Israel
  • Pan American Games Oct. 23-Nov. 5 in Santiago, Chile

Preliminary heats are at 9:30 a.m. each day, with finals sessions set for 6 p.m. All sessions are being streamed live on CBC Sports digital platforms. Live streams can be watched via the free CBC Gem streaming service, at cbcsports.ca and the CBC Sports app for iOS and Android devices. Former national team members Jasen Pratt and Brittany MacLean will return to provide commentary for all finals sessions.

2023 NORTH AMERICAN INDIGENOUS GAMES

2023 NORTH AMERICAN INDIGENOUS GAMES

The 2023 North American Indigenous Games (NAIG) will be held this summer in Halifax, Nova Scotia July 15 – 23rd. The games are host to 5,000 athletes across 16 sports.

Indigenous swimmers with a birth year 2010 to 2004 are eligible. Athletes who are interested must declare their interest this week.

There will be two upcoming information sessions:

UVic to host U SPORTS Swimming Championships at Commonwealth Pool

VICTORIA – The University of Victoria will host upwards of 25 universities and 300 athletes from across the country at the 2023 U SPORTS Swimming Championships taking place at Commonwealth Pool from February 23-25.

Canada’s best university swimmers will take to Victoria’s Commonwealth Pool in search of top times, personal bests, and a national championship banner—come watch champions in the making. 

VOLUNTEER

The event organizers are still in search of volunteers for all three days. Anyone who is interested in participating, please sign up here.

TICKETS

Tickets are only required for the finals. Preliminaries will be open to the public on a first come first serve basis. Tickets will be available online and in person at CARSA Membership Services at the University of Victoria, as well as at Saanich Commonwealth Place 1.5 hours prior to the final session starting. Event schedule can be found on the ticketing page.
