BC Swimmers Selected to Team Canada for 2026 Junior Pan Pacific, Pan Pacific and Parapan Pacific Championships

Swimming Canada has announced this year’s athlete selections for the 2026 Junior Pan Pacific Championships, 2026 Pan Pacific Championships and 2026 Parapan Pacific Championships. Swimmers and coaches from across British Columbia have earned selection to Team Canada across all three teams.

A total of 14 BC swimmers have been selected to represent Canada at the 2026 Junior Pan Pacific Championships, taking place August 17–20 at the UBC Aquatic Centre in Vancouver. The BC athletes are among a team of 40 of Canada’s top junior swimmers who will compete against more than 300 athletes from 16 countries. The 2026 championships mark the 11th edition of the Junior Pan Pacific Championships and the first time the event will be hosted in Canada.

The following BC swimmers have been selected to Team Canada for the 2026 Junior Pan Pacific Championships:

  • Shae Murtha (OS), coached by Ryan Skomorowski
  • Juliet Nicholson (KAJ), coached by Marc Tremblay
  • Maelle Sanborn (PCS), coached by Rod Barratt
  • Shima Taghavi (HYACK), coached by Andrew Lennstrom
  • Kaede Takai (OS), coached by Ryan Skomorowski
  • Taryn Weatherhead (KISU), coached by Tina Hoeben
  • Marlee Winser (KISU), coached by Tina Hoeben
  • Michelle Zeng (CDSC), coached by Kelly Taitinger
  • Muquing (Emma) Zhang (VPSC), coached by Patrick Paradis
  • Mark Aistov (OS), coached by Ryan Skomorowski
  • Liam Chew (KAJ), coached by Marc Tremblay
  • Minhyuk (Danny) Park (OS), coached by Ryan Skomorowski

 

BC will also be represented at the 2026 Pan Pacific Championships, taking place August 10–15 in Irvine, California. The BC swimmers selected to Team Canada are:
