Canada Games Day 1 & 2

Canada Games kicked off on August 6th with Opening Ceremonies. Team BC has a contingent of 382 Athletes competing, 27 of which are Swim BC athletes! BC athletes came together for the first provincial Pep Rally of the games to set the tone for the competition.

Day 2 was the start of the swimming competition, which earned Team BC our first 4 medals! Our medal winners are:
- Julia Strojnowska – Bronze – Women’s 1500m Freestyle – 17:17.74
- Aidan Erickson – Silver – Men’s 800m Freestyle – 8:24.28
- Julia Strojnowska, Leilani Fack, Maria Saldana Riebeling & Sienna Angove – Silver – Women’s 4x200m Freestyle Relay – 8:22.90
- Peter Huang, Aidan Erickson, Laon Kim, Bill Dongfang – Silver – Men’s 4x200m Freestyle Relay – 7:45.81
