Canadian Junior & Senior Swimming Championships – Day 1

The 2022 Canadian Junior & Senior Swimming Championships are taking place in Montreal from July 25th through August 1st. The competition has 638 swimmers representing 145 clubs. British Columbia has an excellent contingent of 114 swimmers, representing 24 clubs.

After Day 1 of the competition, BC Swimmers had 45 A Final swims and earned 15 medals. Congrats to the following medal winners:

Gold

  • 19 & Over 200m IM – Brodie Young (UBCT)
  • 18 & Over 100m Fly – Danielle Hanus (UBCT)
  • 14-15 200m Free – Laon Kim (HYACK)
  • 16 – 18 400m Free – Adam Wu (SKSC)
  • 13-14 400m IM – Emma Liu (CDSC)
  • 19 & Over 100m Breast – Justice Migneault (UBCT)

Silver

  • 14-15 200m IM – Laon Kim (HYACK)
  • 13-14 100m Fly – Paige Korbely (HYACK)
  • 15-17 100m Fly – Leila Fack (LOSC)
  • 19 & Over 400m Free – Hugh McNeill (UBCT)
  • 13-14 400m IM – Kelly Qi (WDSC)
  • 15-17 400m IM – Sienna Angrove (KCS)
  • 14 – 15 100m Breast – Joshua Wall (RAPID)

Bronze

  • 13-14 100m Fly – Emma Liu (CDSC)
  • 15-17 400m IM – Alexanne LePage (VKSC)
