LA28 Training Camp and Competition Support Program
The LA28 Training Camp and Competition Support Program aims to bridge the transition from provincial to national development levels for swimmers and coaches by providing financial assistance for specialized training camps and enhanced competitive opportunities. This support enables access to high-quality events and camps crucial for athlete and coach growth, focusing on in-season senior/open competitions and multi-day training camps.
The program incentivizes clubs to prioritize athlete development up to the Swimming Canada AAP level, fostering a culture of excellence and readiness for the LA28 Olympics and beyond. Eligibility requires swimmers and coaches to meet specific criteria, with funding cycles and application deadlines outlined for club submissions. This structured program aligns with Swim BC’s goal of nurturing competitive swimmers within the BC club system, ultimately targeting the 2028 LA Olympic team.
Eligibility requires swimmers to have completed the BC Enhanced Athlete Intake, and be in the Perform, Advance or Prospects level and their Coach to have completed their BC Enhanced Coach Intake.
Eligible coaches can contact the Swim BC Technical Director to access the application.
