Divisional and BC Provincial Championships
March 16, 2022
On January 26th Swim BC made the decision to move forward with the 3 Winter Divisional Swim Meets and the BC Winter Provincial Championships. In six short weeks, our swimming community rallied to host these four competitions amidst COVID-19 restrictions and an ever-changing environment. Our membership pulled together and through a massive hosting effort, the four meets were successfully held.
It can’t be said enough that there are many “thank you’s” to go out to all who made these events happen, thank you! In particular, a special acknowledgement of thanks goes to the host clubs and their meet organizing committees, the officials, facilities as well as our dedicated swimmers, their coaches, and club support systems.
Over the three Divisional meets, and the Provincial Championships 1,140 swimmers were able to compete, representing 49 teams from each region of the province.
