Criminal Record Check
Swim BC Member Clubs are responsible for ensuring all employees or volunteers working with children or vulnerable adults, as a component of their respective organizational activities, complete a Screening and Criminal Records Check through the CRRP.
Coach Criminal Record Checks
All registered coaches must submit a Criminal Record Check to Swim BC through the Criminal Record Review Program (CRRP).
- Criminal Record Checks are valid for 5 years
- CRRP reviews Criminal Record Checks on Swim BC’s behalf and provides Swim BC with a letter informing us whether the applicant poses a risk to the organization or not.
- This program uses your credit history to verify your identity. During the application process, you will be asked personal questions about your financial history and credit history.
- The cost for a Coach Criminal Record Check is $28
- To apply for a Criminal Record Check through the CRRP you will need an access code specific to Swim BC. Please reach out to Swim BC for the code.

Common Errors
If you do not have a credit history or the CRRP is not able to verify you will receive the following error:
Please reach any errors thoroughly. If you receive this error, in the text below it says you can print the form generated and submit it to the requesting organization. If you get this error, fill out the generated form and submit it to Swim BC.
Officials & Volunteer Criminal Record Checks
Swim BC has identified the following volunteers require screening:
- Club Board of Directors
- Team Managers
- Chaperones
- Registered Level 3,4 and 5 officials
Swim BC uses the Criminal Record Review Program (CRRP) to process Criminal Record Checks:
- Criminal Record Checks are valid for 5 years
- For volunteers and officials, we as that you complete this form. This allows Swim BC to expect to receive your CRC and match it correctly.
- CRRP reviews Criminal Record Checks on Swim BC’s behalf and provides Swim BC with a letter informing us whether the applicant poses a risk to the organization or not.
