COVID-19 Update – November 1st

The Public Health Officer has revised the interpretation of the October 25th, 2021 Public Health Order specific to Proof of Vaccination requirements.  This revision has a significant impact on swim clubs where coaches are employed vs other sport environments where coaches may be volunteers.

Please note the following:

Event and program organizers (ie/ all swim club activities) must check proof of vaccination for:

  • Any unpaid supervisor/coach/volunteer for youth sport events and programs (adults and youth)
  • Adult indoor sport participants
  • Adult and youth spectators at indoor sport events and programs
  • Youth (12-21) participating in an adult sport events and programs.

Proof of vaccination is not required for: 

  • Youth participants in a child and youth program or sport event
  • Employees working in sport activities or programming in their employment capacity
