LA28 COMPETITION SUPPORT PROGRAM

Swim BC is proud to be announcing a new initiative, the LA28 Competition Support Program.
Swim BC is providing financial resources to identified swimmer / coach tandems in partnership with the home club, primarily to assist, encourage and facilitate access to enhanced competition. One of the program goals is to incentivize clubs to develop the organizational “muscle” and create a culture of supporting athlete development through to the Swimming Canada Senior Athlete Assistance Program (AAP) level. Recognizing the critical value of enhanced competition is a basic construct in realizing these outcomes.
This program is to acknowledge when a swimmer’s developmental needs begin to exceed the top end of provincial competition and assists clubs to facilitate the next appropriate developmental step for the swimmer / coach tandem.
