He began his journey with the BC Summer Swimming Association (BCSSA) before transitioning into year‑round swimming, gaining experience with Simon Fraser Aquatics and the Haney Seahorse Swim Club (now Ridge Meadows Swim Club), before ultimately finding a long‑term home with the Surrey Knights Swim Club.

Welcoming Savannah King: Swim BC’s New Director of Coach and Performance Development

Swim BC is proud to announce the appointment of Savannah King as our new Director of Coach and Performance Development.

A two-time Olympian and former Canadian record holder, King brings a wealth of high-performance experience to the role, both in and out of the pool. Over the past decade, she has established herself as a respected coach and leader in Canadian swimming, most recently serving as Associate Head Coach of McGill University’s Varsity Swim Team. Her coaching résumé also includes roles with the Canadian Swim Coaches Association and Swimming Canada’s coaching staff at the 2021 and 2024 Short Course World Championships.

VANCOUVER, BC – The 2025 BC Summer Provincial Championship, hosted by Vancouver Pacific Swim Club (VPSC), took place at the UBC Aquatic Centre from July 17–20, marking the conclusion of the long-course season with four days of competition. A total of 613 swimmers from 39 clubs across the province competed in 3,294 individual and relay events. Over the course of the meet, 43 meet records were broken.

The 2025 Bell Canadian Swimming Trials, hosted at the Saanich Commonwealth Place in Victoria, BC, brought together Canada’s top swimmers for six days of elite racing, national team selections, and milestone performances. The Trials served as the selection event for upcoming international competitions, Swim BC athletes demonstrated exceptional strength, technical precision, and competitive drive across all event categories - senior, junior, and para.

Club Representation and Swimmer Participation

Swimmers from across the province contributed to a strong BC presence at the competition, with 174 athletes from 27 clubs competing in a total of 759 events.
