Sanctioning a Competition
2024/2025 INTERIM SANCTIONING AND ENTRIES PROCESS
Swimming Canada has deferred the launch of the meets component of REMS indefinitely. Swim BC will be proceeding with the Meet Sanctioning and entires process outside of REMS.
To request a meet sanction, please complete the Meet Sanction Application (2024-2025) form.
Once your application has been submitted, Swim BC will review the request and notify the club regarding any necessary amendments and the approval status.
Note that at the current moment entries are not able to be submitted through the Swimming Canada Online System.
Please include the following wording in your meet information for entries:
As the Swimming Canada online entry system is not currently available, entries for this meet will be done as follows:
– Entry files must be emailed directly to _______ at __________.
– Entries may only be submitted for swimmers whose registration has been initiated by their club in the new REMS database.
– All entry files must contain the complete and accurate information as required (the same as if uploading to the SNC online system) – this includes swimmer 9-digit ID #, name, correct date of birth, and gender.
For further information, please contact Melissa Webster, Performance Development Manager via email melissa.webster@swimbc.ca
Note: this is subject to change as more information becomes available.

As an alternative, Swim BC will be collecting results and submitting them to Swimming Canada. In order to submit results the following form must be submitted.
Please note that delays are expected for the posting of these results to SwimRankings as we are waiting to get some information from Swimming Canada.

Competitive swimming events are a great way to challenge the swimmers in your club to reach for their best. Events are hosted by clubs and organized by each club’s designated Meet Manager. Events must be sanctioned by Swim BC, who provide the means to apply for sanctioning via the Registration Event Management System (REMS), which is the first step in hosting your own event.
