New Hotel Partnership with Holiday Inn Group

Swimming Canada is thrilled to announce that they have signed a new multi-year marketing partnership with the Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG). IHG is the largest hotel chain in the world including brands such as Holiday Inn® Hotels and Resorts, Holiday Inn Express®, InterContinental® Hotels & Resorts, Hotel Indigo®, Crowne Plaza® Hotels & Resorts, Staybridge Suites® and Candlewood Suites®.

This partnership will not only provide the Swimming Community with fantastic rates at IHG hotels, but also provide opportunities to both generate revenue and reduce costs for both Provincial Sections and our member clubs.

“We’re thrilled to welcome IHG to the Swimming Canada family” says Swimming Canada CEO Pierre Lafontaine. “This Partnership will help the swimming community in many ways and we look forward to creating some innovative programs with IHG to further promote the program in the coming months."

“IHG is pleased to be in a multi-year partnership with Swimming Canada. Swimming Canada’s presence in the Canadian marketplace and our affiliation matches one of our key priorities, to enter into relationships that can reach as many communities across the country as possible,” said Gopal Rao, RVP IHG Sales & Marketing Canada. “IHG Canada has 151 hotels in Canada from coast to coast and our hotel community looks forward to working with, and welcoming Swimming Canada and its members to our properties.”

As part of the Partnership, Swimming Canada will have an exclusive IHG reservation website for all bookings of 9 rooms or less that will be launched February 1, 2010. Any meet hosts, or teams requiring 10 rooms or more will have a dedicated IHG representative to help with all reservations. Contact information on the dedicated IHG representative is listed below. Bookings may be made at any of the IHG brands anywhere in the world.
