While the final day of competition did not see the assault on the provincial records that had occurred over the first three days of the meet, the swimming at the Team Aquatic Supplies 2010 BC AAA Short Course Age Group Championships was nonetheless fast and exciting.
To the surprise of no one, Island Swimming prevailed in the overall team scoring, as their 3408 points put them well ahead of the rest of the pack. Possibly to the surprise of many, however, was the club from Tsawwassen - Winskill Dolphins Swim Club – which placed second overall in team scoring, amassing 2620 points over the course of the weekend. The strength of WDSC was also evidenced by the fact that they finished first overall in women's scoring.
In a hotly contested battle for third place overall, Vancouver Pacific Swim Club just narrowly beat out Pacific Sea Wolves by a mere 17 points – 2215 to 2198. Rounding out the top five clubs was Langley Olympians Swim Club with 1999 points.

The best FINA-point scoring swims of the weekend did not change from the first night of finals, as Jeremy Bagshaw's (IS) 815-point effort in 200 free help up through the meet, with teammates Alec Page (810 points in 1500 Free) and Nicki Fyfe (806 points in 200 IM) rounded out the top 3.

In other results from the weekend, the 10&U SwimStars program saw Clarisse Obedkoff (KAJ) and Ben Neufeld (COMOX) taking the top spots, respectively, in the boys and girls categories. Complete results on that are in .pdf format here.
(Note: For deal with disqualifications in a "combined best time" event such as this, our practice is to give the DQ'd swimmer a time that is ten seconds slower than the slowest time in the event.)
