Mikuska Hired as SNC Para Performance Coach

SwimBC wishes to announce that Provincial Coach Vince Mikuska will be leaving SwimBC to take on the role as Swimming Canada's Para Performance Coach.

While we at SwimBC are very pleased for Vince and his move into a role at Swimming Canada which will see him shepherding the next crop of national- and international-level athletes to the 2016 and 2020 Paralympics, we of course will miss his many contributions to fostering the development of SwimBC's swimers and coaches.

Over the four-plus years during which Mikuska served as Provincial Coach, this has included the SwimBC Regional Camps, Provincial Team camps and competitions, club visitations, and coach mentorship opportunities.  He also took a vital leadership role in re-vamping the structure of SwimBC's Provincial Championship competitions, as well as the cultivation and stewardship of the BC's Western Canada Summer Games and Canada Summer Games teams.

SwimBC wishes Vince well in this next stage of his coaching career and looks forward to the successes that will assuredly follow him in his new position.
