Swim BC would like to congratulate Mark Tweksbury on his appointment to the Order of Canada.

Sport is an important part of BC communities, and many organizations have been striving to see Sport represented in our government. With the announcement of the BC government's new cabinet, Sport has taken a big step and is now been named to a ministry.

This program is intended to be an opportunity for all clubs in BC to share performances, whether they be from a sanctioned time trial, a race rehearsal in workout, a get-out swim or one a last rep in a descending set.  Coaches are encouraged to submit any times; Swim BC will rank and publish daily (or as best we can, pending a high volume of submissions)

BC Swimming Hall of Fame member Bruce Robertson has received the Commonwealth Sport Canada Award of Merit in recognition for his volunteer service with the CSC.

Swim BC has partnered with Swimming Canada to deliver a virtual swim camp for distance-oriented athletes.  The camp will be running from November 21 – 28th

Swim BC now requires certain club volunteers to provide CRC’s.  Like all organizational policies, it is the club’s responsibility to adhere to Swim BC policy.  Therefore, it is the club that is responsible to present to Swim BC a list of volunteers that, according to our policy, will require a CRC.

The 2020-2021 Swim-a-thon sign up is now available! It will be hosted by Swimming Canada & Raise-a-thon like in previous years. You can sign up now, and Swim-a-thon events can be hosted anytime between now and May 31, 2021.

The Swim BC President’s Award is awarded to a long serving individual within the BC Swimming Community who has had a significant and lasting impact on the direction of the sport.

The Hyack Swim Club has a rich legacy of performance, since their inception in 1973 through to and including this past 2019-2020 season.

The CCA is hosting a Women in Coaching Summit that is open to all women Coaches. This Summit is going to be hosted online on November 21st starting at 10am PST.

Bailey Herbert swims for the Langley Olympians. She is the winner of the 15 & Over Aggregate Award at BC Winter Provincial Championships.

Peter Huang swims for the Hyack Swim Club. At Winter Provincials in Victoria, he broke the National Record in the Long Course Men’s 13-14 400m Free.

Arianna Hunsicker swims for Surrey Knights Swim Club. She is an accomplished swimmer and has been an excellent representation of BC Swimming Excellence.

Cameron Chambers swims for Kelowna Aquajets. During Provincial Championships, he scored 4033 Canadian Para Points from all Para events swam.

Tina Hoeben is the long-time Head Coach of KISU Swim Club in Penticton BC. An accomplished coach who has pursued education through the National Coaching Certification Program, National Women in Coaching programs and serves as a role model and mentor to other coaches across the province.

Brian Metcalfe is the Head Coach of the Langley Olympians Swim Club and the first recipient of this new Swim BC award. A highly respected coach in the BC and Canadian swimming community, Brian has many years of coaching experience and education.
